The federal government shutdown has delayed a hearing, previously set for Wednesday, on a draft bill to speed decisions on pipelines and transmission line. In another energy-related delay, the Interior Department will pause progress on rules for hydraulic fracturing on federal land, according to this article. Meanwhile, the Energy Department's application reviews for exporting liquefied natural gas may be pushed back as well.
