IBM to buy LTE analysis firm, sees it as addition to Big Data offering

IBM has agreed to purchase The Now Factory, a provider of analysis services and software for Long Term Evolution networks. Financial terms weren't disclosed. The Now Factory will be melded into Big Blue's software group once the transaction closes, which is expected in this quarter. The Irish company's software will be included in IBM's InfoSphere Streams platform for Big Data analytics, among other IBM products.
