Longchamp's affordable luxury model wins in tight times

French leather-bag maker and retailer Longchamp has seen a 75% jump in revenue in the past three years, about twice the growth rate in the overall personal luxury-goods market. As other high-end brands boost exclusivity efforts to appeal to the wealthiest consumers, Longchamp has focused on offering value at lower price points, says CEO Jean Cassegrain.
