More than 2M people are suffering from multiple sclerosis worldwide

A report released Wednesday by the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation revealed a 10% increase in the proportion of multiple sclerosis cases across the world in the last five years, reaching 2.3 million. More people from North America and Europe are suffering from the neurological condition with 140 and 108 cases for every 100,000 people, respectively, compared with 2.1 cases per 100,000 people in sub-Saharan Africa.
