NIH trials on childhood cancer patients put on hold due to shutdown

About 10 pediatric cancer patients will not be able to start their clinical trials through the NIH each week until the government shutdown ends. About 200 patients who register in the trials every week, including approximately 30 children, will be facing delays, NIH spokesman John Burklow said.
