Pa. students learn about math through stories

Students at Hatfield Elementary School in Pennsylvania are learning about math through storytelling. The technique is part of the Go Math! program, which uses pictures and other visual supports in its math lessons. During a recent lesson, students learned about counting by fives, tens and multiples of 100s by reading a story about a character who turns on the lights on different floors of a 20-story building.
