Poll: 72% of Americans oppose shutdown over Affordable Care Act

A national survey by Quinnipiac University found that 72% of Americans do not support shutting down the government to fight the Affordable Care Act. A 64% majority opposed blocking a debt-limit increase over the ACA, versus 27% who favored it. Fifty-eight percent opposed defunding the health insurance exchanges, while 34% were in favor of it.
