Post-mastectomy reconstruction helps patients regain self-image

A woman whose mother died of cancer at the age of 36 had a preventive double mastectomy and is undergoing reconstruction. The patient chose mastectomy after finding two lumps, and surgeon Garrett Harper discussed surgical techniques and options with her. "The goal is for [breast cancer patients] to not only be cancer-free or never have to worry about cancer, but it's to make them look more beautiful," Harper said.
