Report: Ad rates for cable nets grew by 4.8% in 2012

The cost of cable network ads went up 4.8% last year, SNL Kagan reports. Cable network CPM rates averaged $6.22 but continue to lag national broadcast channels, according to the report. ESPN, with an average CPM of $19.29, is among 10 cable networks with CPMs at $10 or higher, followed by MTV, with $13.10 on average.
