Students in Maine transition to healthier meal standards

As students in Maine return to school, they are adjusting to new federal regulations that require more whole grains, fruits and vegetables in school meals. In Portland, officials reported a decline in meal participation of between 10% and 15% in middle and high school during the initial rollout of the standards, but participation has since rebounded.
