Study: Divorce raises mental, physical health risks in men

Divorce can have a negative impact on men's health, affecting both their physical and mental well-being, according to a paper published in the Journal of Men's Health. Cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke can cause premature death in divorced men, who are also at greater risk of diseases ranging from the common cold to cancer and heart failure. Divorce may also raise men's risk of depression and alcohol or drug abuse.
