U.S. airlines report $2.1B profit for Q2

Large U.S. airlines reported a $2.1 billion profit for the second quarter, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The profit was boosted by allowing customers to decide which optional services they value and choose to purchase. During the same quarter of last year, the airlines reported a $700 million profit.
