Study: Diabetes rises as common chronic illness among youths

As many as one in every 523 young people under 20 has diabetes, indicating that the disease is among the more common chronic illnesses in youths, according to a new study. Type 1 diabetes is commonly associated with children, but in recent years Type 2 diabetes also has emerged among children.
