Commentary: Payment alternatives to gain popularity?

E-commerce merchants are using or investigating payment providers such as PayPal and Bill Me Later to boost average order value, one analyst says. The analyst predicts that alternatives to bank cards will account for 30% of the e-commerce market in 2012, with e-mail-based payments, primarily represented by PayPal, leading the way.
