Experts call for self-regulation among device firms

Medical-device firms should be more proactive in resolving conflict-of-interest issues to show legislators their commitment to ensuring transparency and boosting the credibility of the industry, a panel of experts said at a conference. Manufacturers can take certain measures aimed at easing the legal restrictions they face, panel members said.
