Monsanto closes $300M sale of cow growth hormone brand

Monsanto has finalized the $300 million sale of Posilac, a cow growth hormone brand, to Eli Lilly and Co. The transaction is in line with Monsanto's long-term plan to concentrate on marketing high-tech seeds to farmers throughout the world.
