Researchers explore protein vaults for nano-cargo uses

Researchers are studying the possibility of using a class of biological-protein nanocapsules, called vaults, for drug-delivery applications. The hollow, barrel-like structure of these protein vaults can be used to encapsulate highly fluorescent semiconducting polymer to serve as inert markers for biological imaging, a researcher said.
