Scores up for D.C.'s underprivileged students

Needy Washington-area students are beginning to catch up to their more affluent peers in reading and math, according to a Washington Post analysis. The achievement gap between these two groups has narrowed in the area's suburban schools since the enactment of federal NCLB legislation in 2002, the analysis states.
