New Facebook features aimed at slower days ahead

Facebook has set up a "wizard" to make it easier to integrate its Connect offerings -- profile pictures, user names, and friends' photos -- into non-Facebook sites. It's part of the network's efforts to prepare for the day when its growth wanes, Kit Eaton writes. "If Facebook's system is subtly intertwined with millions of other Web sites, it will still be relevant when that saturation point comes."
