Sequencing project to find genetic factors in heart, lung, blood diseases

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute has awarded grants worth $64.5 million to six institutes involved in a major DNA sequencing project aimed at identifying genetic contributors to heart, lung and blood diseases. Data from the project will be contributed to the NIH database accessible to researchers.
