Some of the nation's wealthiest execs back Texas charter school

Billionaires such as Bill Gates and the Walton families are keen on benefiting the successful Youth Engaged in Service Prep Public Schools in Houston. The 12-year-old charter school has 3,400 students in sixth through 12th grades who mostly come from low-income families. Students are prepared for college using strategies such as extended school time, required summer sessions and even an after-school homework program called "Wall Street."
