Feds to spend $9M to help companies improve wellness plans

Viridian Health Management will help up to 100 U.S. employers develop or expand employee-wellness programs, as part of a $9 million federal project funded by the Affordable Care Act. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Thomas Frieden says the program will help companies improve employee health and contain costs, as research shows wellness programs have a return on investment of $3 for every $1 spent.
