Study: Stepped program may be effective for weight loss

Data on 364 overweight and obese people showed that those who underwent a stepped program of increasingly intensive weight-loss interventions attained similar results as those who had standard care. The findings suggest that increasing the intensity of weight-loss programs in those who fail to meet their goals may be an effective alternative to standard regimes, experts reported at the Obesity Society meeting.
