Texas commission gives $48,000 to school district for autogas buses

The Texas Railroad Commission awarded $48,000 to the Lindale (Texas) Independent School District after it switched some of its buses to propane autogas. "The grant reduces their capital cost in producing buses. ... In these economic times, it helps the districts save tax money," said Texas Railroad Commissioner David Porter. Seven buses in the school district's fleet run on propane autogas.
