Aerifier, rototiller can help flooded lawns bounce back to health

Lawns covered with sediment deposits from floods can be restored with the help of a core type aerifier or a rototiller, according to this article. The core type aerifier can be used when the grass is covered by less than 1 inch of muck, breaking up soil layering and creating holes for overseeding. The rototiller can help with re-establishment of lawns covered by more than 2 inches of muck by creating a new root zone while preventing drainage problems, this article says.
