BCBS grant to improve rural patients' access to OSU telemedicine services

The Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa has received $250,000 from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma to extend the OSU Telehealth Network, which aids rural patients at more than 60 locations in the state. The funds will be used to open a permanent telemedicine facility at Porter, Okla.-based Arkansas Verdigris Valley Health Centers and distance learning locations at four rural hospitals.
