Capital One reaches deal on inherited discrimination charges

Capital One will pay $2.85 million to settle claims of discrimination against Chevy Chase Bank, which it purchased four years ago. The Justice Department contends that from 2006 through 2009, Chevy Chase charged black and Hispanic borrowers higher mortgage rates.
