Development benefits generated by migration are focus of UN meeting

The United Nations General Assembly High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development starts Thursday and will look at how migration has transformed into a development generator. Migrants send money home, invest locally and generate commerce, says Bela Hovy, UN migration chief. "When they go home, their experiences and skills can be applied in the country of origin," Hovy argues.
