E-books gain greater traction worldwide, report says

Consumers in more countries are boosting use of e-books as the U.S. and U.K. markets mature, according to a report by Ruediger Wischenbart. The report says digital books make up about 20% of the U.S. and U.K. book markets; e-book adoption is growing fast in Germany, with 8% to 10% of title releases sold in digital format; and Brazilian lawmakers are discussing extending a tax-free status for print books to e-books and e-readers.
