Fall-protection violations again top OSHA citations list

Violations of fall-protection standards in fiscal 2013 are again the most frequent source of citations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to its top 10 list. The list was unveiled at the National Safety Congress and Expo in Chicago, which lacked the presence of an OSHA official because of the shutdown of the federal government. Preliminary OSHA figures put fall-protection violations at 8,241, followed by hazard communication violations at 6,156.
