Harris Teeter stockholders are set to vote on Kroger bid

Harris Teeter shareholders are scheduled to vote today to accept or reject a $2.5 billion acquisition offer from Kroger. The deal would pay stockholders $49.38 per share in cash, although some shareholders are suing Harris Teeter to wait for a better offer. Kroger's bid beat out 18 others. Harris Teeter has made $109.6 million in profit on $4.7 billion in sales during the past year.
