Hormone replacement doesn't stop heart disease, analysis affirms

A new look at data from the Women's Health Initiative confirms past findings that hormone replacement therapy does not reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, researchers reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Based on the analysis involving about 16,600 patients, hormone replacement should not be used as a tool to prevent chronic conditions, according to an accompanying editorial.
