Investment banking fees rise 3% year-on-year in first 3 quarters

Fees earned for investment banking services were up 3% in the first nine months of 2013 from a year before, although total fees generated were down in the third quarter, according to data gathered by Thomson Reuters. Leading the way over the nine months was JPMorgan with $4.4 billion in fees, followed by Bank of America Merrill Lynch with $4 billion.
