Kan. leaders taste results of farm-to-school program

Kansas Agriculture Secretary Dale Rodman and Kansas Education Commissioner Diane DeBacker visited a middle school recently to learn more about the district's farm-to-school program. The state officials were served food from the students' garden. "I think it's great," Rodman said. "We don't all grow up on a farm anymore, and this is really part of a process of life about where food comes from and how it's produced and what really happens in the process, so I think it's really good."
