Ky., Ohio could break ground on new $2.5B Brent Spence Bridge by 2015

Construction could begin in 2015 on a $2.5 billion project to replace the Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio River between Kentucky and Ohio, and overhaul the Interstate 75 corridor, according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Mike Hancock. Tolls, a federal government loan and vehicle-fuel taxes are expected to fund the project. The Kentucky legislature needs to approve the plan before it moves forward.
