LSE plans revitalisation of derivatives markets

London Stock Exchange Group has announced a plan to boost flagging volume for its UK and Italian derivatives markets. The LSE hopes a contract type it will release on subsidiary Borsa Italiana will draw traders wishing to avoid double taxation from Italy's financial-transaction tax. The LSE also plans to launch a cross-margining programme for equities and derivatives that will increase post-trade efficiency for clients.
