A math lesson that helps build teacher-student relationships

Middle-grades educator Philip McIntosh describes in this blog post a project that combines math, student collaboration and relationship-building between students and their teacher. The lesson begins as McIntosh first asks students to describe the kind of teacher they want. Students then work in groups to condense the responses from all 52 students in his math classes and display the data in graphs of their choice.
