N.C. small businesses benefit from film industry

The country's economic turmoil was taking a heavy toll on H&S Lumber in Charlotte, N.C., as building activity slowed dramatically in early 2011. But things turned around suddenly when filming of "The Hunger Games" began and the moviemakers needed lots of lumber and other materials. A number of other movies and TV shows have also been produced in the area, evidence that studios are drawn to North Carolina's tax incentives.
