New U.N. tower in NYC will be 36 stories tall

The United Nations has unveiled plans to build a 36-story tower in New York City, which will house 3,000 of its employees. The project is designed by Fumihiko Maki, a Japanese architect, and is expected to be more secure than the current U.N. building. The tower should be finished in 2018.
