Repair work begins on Fla. bridge hit by Navy ship

Superior Construction has begun repair work on the 60-year-old Mathews Bridge in Jacksonville, Fla. The central span of the bridge was damaged when it was struck by a Navy cargo ship. Work includes temporary fixes to make the span safe. The contractor has 40 days to finish the job.
