Report: Ford CEO could succeed Ballmer at Microsoft

Alan Mulally, the president and CEO of Ford, is reportedly among the candidates to succeed Steve Ballmer as CEO of Microsoft, AllThingsD has reported. Mulally told USA Today that he has no plans to leave Ford, where his contract runs through 2014. Mulally, who previously served as president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, is said to still have a home in Seattle.
