Study: FDG PET/CT parameters could inform mesothelioma prognosis

A U.K. study suggests that FDG PET/CT parameters such as standard uptake value, metabolic tumor volume and total lesion glycolysis may be useful for predicting mesothelioma patient survival. The findings, which appear in the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, revealed that MTV and TLG had a considerable impact on survival of mesothelioma patients, whose overall survival was 14.1 months.
