Sugar confectionery production surges in Russia

While the U.S. remains the leading producer of sugar confectionery, countries including Russia, Brazil, India and Mexico are increasing their production, said Leatherhead Food Research. "At some point in the next few years, Russia is expected to overtake Germany as Europe's leading producer," said Leatherhead analyst Jonathan Thomas.
