Why gender equality needs to included in post-2015 goals

The Millennium Development Goals spurred global action on poverty and hunger, and the post-2015 development goals should be more inclusive of women if those goals are to be achieved, said Dr. Musimbi Kanyoro, president of the Global Fund for Women. The MDGs showed that "when women are not considered to be the top priority, we don't make progress on those issues," she said.
