FDA may tighten rules to fight drug counterfeiting

The Food and Drug Administration warned of a sharp increase in cases of drug counterfeiting. The agency said fake drugs may contain tap water or chalk, wrong ingredients, incorrect doses or contaminants. Expensive drugs for cancer and AIDS have been among the targets.
