New York judge permits vote for class size review

Despite the city's efforts, a state Supreme Court judge ordered that a referendum be put on a ballot in next month's election that would create a commission to consider class size limits in New York City public schools. Currently, average class sizes in New York City range from 20 in the lowest grades to almost 30 in high school.
