"Virtual colonoscopy" effective, studies find

Two studies report that a virtual colonoscopy is as effective as a conventional colonoscopy in detecting most advanced polyps. The virtual colonoscopy did not report small polyps, and patients still must undergo a traditional colonoscopy if any polyps need to be removed.
