Support for rescue plan builds as US House enters second vote:

Signs that the financial crisis is intensifying and spreading prompted some lawmakers in the US House of Representatives to reconsider their votes against the economic-rescue plan. At least eight representatives said they will approve the revised legislation, while others wavered. The House failed Monday to pass the bill by a dozen votes but is expected to vote again today.
