Varied perinatal outcomes found among races

A study of Asian, Asian-Caucasian and Caucasian couples whose babies were delivered at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Stanford, Calif., found women in Asian-Caucasian and Asian couples were more likely to have gestational diabetes, while women in Caucasian couples had babies with a higher birthweight. Compared with Asian couples, Asian-mother/Caucasian-father couples had a higher rate of Caesarean-section delivery.
