Social media raises concerns, opportunities for companies

Consumers used to complain to their friends when they were unhappy with the customer service they received, writes Tim Weber of the BBC. Consumers still grumble to their friends, but they do it via social-media websites, which have a tendency to snowball into a major public relations problem for the company involved. While social-media sites are creating headaches for many companies, others are turning them around into opportunities.
